A Note From Anna…
(Your personal guide to transitioning into project management and landing your first role — even without prior experience)
I wish I’d known what I know now when I was stuck in an unfulfilling career, feeling frustrated and overlooked. For years, I found myself working hard, as a Project Coordinator, managing large Projects, but with the salary and no promotions year in, year out. I was stuck in a cycle of unfulfilled potential, and the thought of staying in that same place for years was overwhelming (I had a young family, small kids who were in day care and bills piling up).
But I knew deep down that I couldn’t stay where I was forever. I had to get out of my comfort zone, get out of the bubble I knew. The thought of making a career change to go after a Project Manager role that paid me well felt daunting, especially since I was afraid of change. But I made the leap. I took a chance, got uncomfortable, and looked outside the bubble I knew. It was scary, but it was also the best decision I ever made.
Now, years later, I’m here to show you that you can do the same. You don’t have to stay stuck, especially if you know you have a lot to offer with your amazing skills. You don’t need years of experience or formal training to break into project management. All you need is the right roadmap and the courage to take that first step.
